Third Wednesdays

Third Wednesdays is a boxed set designed to make planning and organizing a book club effortless. Targeted towards middle-aged moms who want to reconnect with friends on a monthly basis—or anyone looking to add a strong theme to their book club—this set provides everything needed to host with ease.
The set’s design is inspired by a nostalgic aesthetic, featuring off-white textured paper reminiscent of old books. Drawing inspiration from the 2019 Little Women movie scene where Jo prints her first book, I incorporated gold and red hues alongside vintage-style emblems and stacked text to give the design an authentic, timeless feel. The use of Taylor Penton’s handwritten fonts further reinforces the nostalgic tone.
The boxed set includes Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult—one of my personal favorites—adding a meaningful touch to the experience. The goal was to create a solution that’s both clever and attractive, encouraging people to start their own book clubs, drawn in by the cohesive design and thoughtful materials.
Named after my mom’s own book club, which met on the third Wednesday of every month, Third Wednesdays aims to bring that same sense of connection and tradition to others.
